Pantone scale for the Iphone

Drag your finger across Mypantones guide and a sunfan shows up to help you find the right color.

Mypantone to the iPhone is a crosssystem for Pawn One's largest color libraries available in your pocket. It lets you identify the colors and experimenting with color groups while on the go. Since the target audience is designers who know how to use a color scale, so is the decision if you want to spend SEK 75 on how often you leave your desk.

MyPantone opens an attractive and colorful interface that starts a rainbow at the top. With one finger pull over the rainbow to open the sunfan in the middle of the screen where you can easily zoom in on the color you are interested.

When you move your finger over the rainbow so you can see when the colors change dynamically in either a spring or with bars. You can easily jump between these statements and overall you have three ways to navigate around in the library on the color touch screen. You can also use myPantone to analyze and cross-reference different colors. Each specimen contains color RGB, L * a * b * and a html code.

Double-Clicking on a color test piece so you get more information about color and listing possible ether. You can also give a color a text tag, or a voice memo so that you can easily find it. To compare the color of the entire Pledge One color scheme is not a problem and it goes to show the colors of complementary, comparative, and triadic combinations.

Although myPantone can be very useful for people who work with colors so there is still room for improvement. Many users have asked us for a cmyk-library which seems like a reasonable request for Mypantone. The program has small gaps in the interface and the apparent restriction of the program is locked into the iPhone to measure colors. Nevertheless, it is still a very informative and comprehensive program for those who work daily with the colors.

South Korea Approves iPhone

Now it is clear that the iPhone can be sold in the Korean peninsula. Thus, Apple has managed to get a foot in all major markets.

After some strange trips it is now clear that Apple may start selling the iPhone to South Korea's 47 million mobile phone users. If everything goes as planned, the sale can be up and running in a few weeks.

First stop for the iphone was because of a law stipulating that all mobile phones sold in the country must include the Korean technology. When this law was abolished for a few months ago was focused instead on privacy issues. With the feature location services, it's easy to keep track of where individuals are located. Thus needed approval by South Korean authorities before any sale could come up with numbers, which now also been issued.

With the launch in South Korea will the iPhone be available for purchase in all major markets. As recently as a few weeks ago, it was selling off in China, a country in which Apple hopes to sell 550 000 cell phones in the first year.

TomTom Navigator update for the iPhone

Free map updates is one of the news in an upcoming update of the TomTom application for the iPhone

 This summer, TomTom released a navigation software for the iPhone. The company have now announce that it's time for the first major update.

Besides the usual bug fixes, it's offered the following new features:

    * Adjustable audio warnings when approaching speed cameras or exceeds the speed limit.

When the free update will appear on the App Store is not quite clear, but it should be later this month. All that remains is Apple's approval.

Facebook Developers leaves the iPhone.

Joe Hewitt, the main developer behind the Facebook app on the App Store, will no longer develop apps for the iPhone. The main reason is Apple's selection process, says the developer.

Another developer has stopped developing software for the iPhone. This time, it is a real threat in the App Store worldwide - Joe Hewitt, the man behind the Facebook app, the most downloaded program in the shop.

Hewitt announced his decision via Twitter, writes TechCrunch who has interviewed the developer.

According to Hewitt decision depends entirely on how Apple manages its store and, more specifically, the selection process.

- I respect the Apple's right to treat their platform that they want, but I'm against the existence of their selection process ...
The Web is still open and free, so I will return to my roots as a web developer. In the long run, I would like to say that I was with and developed the web for the best mobile platform, instead of being part of a transition to a world in which developers must go through an intermediary to get their applications to users.

Iphone apps give Apple your personal information.

There are applications for the iPhone that, in the quiet send off your personal information to the developers.

The data that is sent is your mobile number, application version, your iPhone's unique ID number, firmware version and iPhone model. What they should do with that information it can be questioned - even if it is not fun to have your mobile numbers stored by companies who then can get the idea to sell it to spammers (theoretically).

The blog I-phone-home wrote a post for this particular application which gathers and records data about the user. To test the various applications to see how safe they are. There are a number of iPhone games that you should avoid, and those are the following.
     * IMobsters
     * Kingdoms Live
     * Live Racing
     * Rock Stars Live
     * Vampires Live
     * World War
     * Zombies Live

It is possible to lock so that your iPhone is not sending the data, if you play the above games. Among other things, you can use a firewall for the iPhone.

Apple seeks manager for iPhone Security.

Have Apple grown tired of jailbreaks?
Seems like it,  when we note that the company is looking for a new manager for the base of a iPhone security team.

Ever since the iPhone was launched in 2007, Apple and a small gang of hackers have been chasing each other in a cat-and-mouse game.One moment you can jailbreak your iphone - so that is it unlocked so you can run anything on it - and the next, Apple has stopped the defect that allowed the unlock process.

Now the measure appears to be heaped on Apple, which now has a vacancy for an "iPhone OS Platform Security Manager", or in other words, chief of security on the iPhone platform as a whole.

There is nothing in the ad if the site is new or if Apple is looking for a replacement.

Whoever takes the job will include being responsible for building up a team of safety engineers, developing a plan for the iPhone platform to be secured in the future, and "pursue a methodology to identify and prevent unsafe".

Is that really what the consumers want?

Odd Wordpress update for the Iphone

Updates to the Iphone programs is usually done free.
A reminder will appear in the iPhone or in iTunes on your computer. But WordPress has now instead released a new program with new features, completely separate from the existing one. Odd behavior, but the new version is nevertheless a clear improvement, so why would anybody want two identical icons with the same name and different functions in their iPhone, I do not understand.

Tip: Several iPhone on one iTunes account

Any iPhone or iPod can only sync to one iTunes account, but the opposite is possible, whitch families with multiple iPhone can use.

With over 100 000 applications in the App Store, you can quickly and easy fill up their iPhone with any software you could ever need and might not even need. If you are not alone in having an iPhone or iPod Touch in the family, it may also be that you could save a lot of money.

You'll need:

An iTunes account can synchronize against so many iPhone and iPod Touch you want. In other words, you can create a family account in iTunes, then all parts of. Each device can then be adjusted to synchronize precisely the program the family member want.

Very useful if you are more that everybody wants, for example, navigation with TomTom.

Just be aware that you only can activate your iTunes account on up to five computers.
